Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
